IBM Lotus Sametime

IBM Lotus Sametime is a comprehensive, integrated instant messaging and Web conferencing solution for business. Lotus Sametime offers three key function sets:
Presence awareness. See whether colleagues or applications are available to collaborate, share information and take an action.
Instant messaging. Be able to converse virtually through the exchange text-, audio- and/or video-based information in real time.
Web conferencing. Share information, an application or an entire desktop or use white-boarding to facilitate team brainstorming.

Lotus Sametime also includes capabilities to inject presence awareness and instant messaging into applications. For example, application developers can use the supplied Sametime Links toolkit or COM+ toolkit to add presence awareness and instant messaging to a Web page or to Microsoft Windows applications, such as Microsoft Outlook.

IBM Lotus Web Conferencing

IBM Lotus Web Conferencing is a licensing alternative for organizations looking to use Web conferencing capabilities to help reduce costs, improve sales, share information, and make faster decisions. Lotus Web Conferencing is based on the same technology as the Web conferencing features of Lotus Sametime. However, Lotus Web Conferencing offers concurrent user pricing, making it easy to acquire exactly the number of licenses needed and still allow external parties, such as customers, partners and suppliers to participate in Web conferences.

IBM Lotus QuickPlace

IBM Lotus QuickPlace is a self-service, Web-based collaborative team workspace environment. With Lotus QuickPlace, users can easily create their own security-rich workspaces on the Web for communicating, coordinating and collaborating on projects and specialized initiatives. Lotus QuickPlace can integrate with an company's existing applications, such as Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime and Microsoft Office to help users schedule meetings, manage tasks, communicate in real-time, present ideas, create and edit documents using familiar tools. Lotus QuickPlace can be used out-of-the-box to share documents, engage in discussions and manage plans, or it can be easily customized to meet unique business requirements.

IBM Lotus Domino Document Manager is security-rich, distributed document library software with built-in collaborative capabilities. Lotus Domino Document Manager provides a collaborative document management system for organizing documents for effective shared access by authorised work teams or individuals. Designed to help companies easily capture, organize, manage and re-use business documents, Lotus Domino Document Manager manages multiple versions of documents and automates document-centric processes such as review and approval.
