3580 Tape Drive

The IBM TotalStorage 3580 model L33 Tape Drive is an external drive incorporating the 3rd and latest generation of IBM LTO technology. This an external stand-alone or rack-mountable unit, similar to previous models of the 3580 and is the entry point for the family of IBM Ultrium tape products. The 3580 Tape Drive provides an excellent migration path from digital linear tape (DLT or SDLT), 1/4-in., 4mm, or 8mm tape drives. The 3580 model L33 can read and write LTO Ultrium 2 Data Cartridges and read LTO Ultrium 1 Data Cartridges.

TS3100 Tape Library

3581 Tape Autoloader

The IBM TotalStorage 3581 Tape Autoloader can provide an excellent solution for businesses looking for high density and performance tape autoloader storage in constrained rack or desktop environments. The 3581 offers a single Ultrium 2 or 3 tape drive and storage for up to eight tape cartridges in a 2U form factor. Optional features are available and designed to help enable the operation of the autoloader as a small library.

3582 Tape Library

3584 Tape Library

The 3584 Tape Library is designed to offer high performance, availability, reliability, mixed media, and on demand storage capacity. Now with zSeries and VTS attachment capability, The IBM TotalStorage 3584 Tape Library leverages the drive technology of the 3592 Tape Drive Model J1A and a high availability accessor feature in an Enterprise-class tape automation system. For Open systems environments, Linear Tape-Open (LTO), as well as the IBM TotalStorage 3592 Tape Drive Model J1A, can be mixed, by frame, within the same library. The 3584 has been designed to address the needs of customers seeking solutions for data archiving, backup, disaster recovery, and other storage needs.

TS3310 Tape Library

For businesses challenged with rapidly growing data backup needs and limited physical space for a tape library, the IBM System Storage TS3310 offers simple, rapid expansion as processing needs grow. This tape library allows you to start small with only a single 5 EIA rack unit high library. Over time, as your need for tape backup expands, you can add additional 9U expansion modules, each of which contains space for additional cartridges, tape drives and a redundant power supply. The entire system grows vertically. Currently, available configurations include the 5U base library module and a 5U base with one 9U expansion module. Future configurations will allow the interconnection of several 9U modules, allowing a TS3310 tape library to hold over 400 LTO™ tape cartridges.
