High Availability can never be fully achieved without reliability. Only Neverfail SCOPE can deliver solid reliability by creating and maintaining a stable and healthy server environment.

The prerequisite for the successful implementation and ongoing performance of any cluster-class high application availability solution, including Neverfail, is a sound and stable technology platform. Almost every software replication and clustering software solution on the market addresses resilience, but that is only half of the High Availability equation. Neverfail is unique in proactively addressing reliability as a critical component of a true High Availability Solution for Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 servers.

Neverfail Server Check Optimization Performance Evaluation (SCOPE) is a combination of software and automated data summarization or analysis process that is designed to achieve maximum server reliability. It uses advanced, automated tools that provide detailed information about the current running state of your server environment and it provides recommendations to establish an optimum platform for long-term reliability. Think of Neverfail SCOPE as a complete server "check-up" to ensure that any problems existing on your primary server are addressed prior to implementation of a High Availability solution and to provide live production "snapshots" of your system's ongoing reliability.

Use of SCOPE is subject to license conditions you must accept on download and is provided on an "AS IS" basis. SCOPE is provided to you solely for you and Neverfail to assess the suitability of your system for Neverfail's high availability solutions and products. Neverfail accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any other use made of or reliance upon SCOPE or SCOPE reports by any person.

Neverfail SCOPE can be run in three different configurations to produce different sets of data for summarization or analysis:

SCOPE Lite has two configurations. The first provides you with a system information summary. This system "snapshot" contains information on configurations, services, 3rd party applications, and disk space. It will provide you with insight into the existing state of your server environment to help establish the suitability of your system for deploying a high availability solution and the Neverfail Application Module that are appropriate for your system. The second configuration gathers data over an extended period of time to provide a bandwidth estimate. Both SCOPE Lite reports are available without charge.

SCOPE Professional is the third configuration of SCOPE and designed to provide a detailed report and diagnosis of the overall health, stability, and reliability of your existing server environment prior to implementing a high availability solution which can be continued over the life of your server. SCOPE Professional is available for use by Neverfail Partners and existing Neverfail customers only and is an essential aspect when installing Neverfail Heartbeat software.
SCOPE Professional provides performance measurements unavailable in the SCOPE Lite report. System data is collected over a 24-hour period to provide detailed information regarding performance characteristics, and establish an estimate of the required bandwidth between your primary and secondary servers. By measuring the bandwidth between the servers, SCOPE Professional can analyze the configuration of the secondary server. SCOPE Professional reports are chargeable.
