Neverfail Heartbeat

Neverfail Heartbeat powers Neverfail's wide range of affordable "cluster-class" application availability and disaster recovery solutions for the Microsoft technology platform

The heart of Neverfail: Neverfail Heartbeat
Neverfail Heartbeat is the core technology that powers all of Neverfail's application availability and disaster recovery solutions for the Microsoft technology platform. Neverfail Heartbeat's "cluster-class" solution replicates data from an active server to a passive server in either a LAN or WAN environment to protect Microsoft applications against a wide range of potential failures.

In severe cases, should the active server fail, the passive server can assume the full identity of the active server and take over all processing. Neverfail Heartbeat's switchover feature is an automatic, seamless process to ensure continuous application availability and is completely invisible to the end user.

High availability over a LAN or WAN environment
Neverfail Heartbeat can be configured to protect your email in either a LAN or WAN environment. Where bandwidth or network utilization is an issue or needs to be reduced, the Neverfail Low Bandwidth Module (LBM) is available to optimize and reduce the amount of data that is transmitted between the two servers.

Neverfail Heartbeat - a first in high availability solutions
Back-up and replication offerings focus only on recovering hardware and data failures from a primary server. Most clustering solutions only address certain type of failures. Neverfail Heartbeat is the first "cluster-class" high availability solution to focus on the entire application environment, including data, the operating system, the server, the network and each and every application to ensure no single point of failure.

"Out of the box" Application Protection
In addition to offering highly available, "out of the box" application protection solutions for Microsoft® Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server, File Server, IIS and BlackBerry, Neverfail protects auxiliary applications such as anti-virus, back-up, fax, and archiving via our Application Module eXtension - AM(X) - technology. Neverfail supplies an application program interface to quickly and easily generate these extensions. Neverfail's existing library of AM(X)s is extensive, fully maintained and supported to assist you in avoiding the added costs of "one off" development practices on your critical server.

Reliability is the first step to achieving high availability
The successful implementation and ongoing performance of any cluster-class high availability solution is predicated upon a reliable technology platform. Neverfail's Server Check Optimization Performance Evaluation (SCOPE) is the only automated software solution to deliver a comprehensive health "check-up" of your server environment. SCOPE identifies existing configuration and performance issues in your environment prior to installation of a high availability solution and it provides "snapshots" of your environment to ensure on-going reliability.

Neverfail Heartbeat summary
Your business is dependent upon every aspect of your IT solution - from the network, all the way down to every application you're running. Failures in any one component can lead to downtime, lost productivity and profitability. Why settle for a partial solution when Neverfail Heartbeat can deliver comprehensive, proactive failure protection for all elements of your server environment? With Heartbeat at the core of every easy to install and easy to afford high availability Neverfail solution, you can count on maximum uptime.
